There are so many Dominican attraction on the island that it is much easier for you to research the things that would be important to you during your Sosua travel.
Besides the typical Caribbean amenities we would expect like good hotels and beautiful beaches there are water sports, hiking, bicycling, mountain adventures, mountain climbing, white water rafting and tropical rain forests offering total privacy and relaxation.

HAITI TOUR
A one day tour to the Haiti and Dominican Republic border! The tour leaves Sosua at 5:00 a.m. and returns late in the evening. The main border is about a three hour drive. The Friday market is held on the border in the Dominican Republic. It’s the only place for Haitians to buy food for the entire week!
The market is no place for tourists! Haitians are trying to survive and do not appreciate care-free gringos taking pictures of their desperate situation. This is not a visitors attraction or destination! Tourists are not welcome at the market and it is not a safe situation right now in my opinion. Haitians are fighting for their lives! Desperate people are capable of desperate actions! Pick pockets are at the market and petty crimes occur every Friday as the crowds grow.
